Ravn helped Lucid, the visual collaboration leader serving 70M+ users, bring its tools into Canvas, the market-leading LMS, by retrofitting the LTI 1.3 standard into their stack.
The Challenge.
The team had to retrofit the LTI 1.3 (Learning Tools Interoperability) standard into Lucid's existing architecture despite aggressive timelines. That meant mastering the protocol while aligning with Lucid's established development ecosystem, demanding deep expertise in enterprise software integration and educational technology frameworks.
The Solution.
The approach prioritized rapid prototyping and iterative development. Proof-of-concept implementations and API-first design established a robust foundation, built on Scala, a stack with a powerful type system and functional capabilities. Beyond execution, Ravn's engineers helped shape solutions to complex challenges. As Stephen, Lucid's Tech Lead, put it: "The project absolutely would not have been a success without Ravn's help.
