Brand Templating Platform

Marq Streamlines Integration Pattern with Ravn & Claude Code

Ravn engineers working in Claude Code took Marq's Flipsnack and Google Drive publish integrations to production in 1.5 months, including onboarding, against an estimated 3.5 months without it, on a pattern built for future partners to reuse.

The Challenge

Marq is a brand templating platform whose customers are mostly marketing and brand teams. In 2026 those customers wanted to publish designs straight into the tools they already use, starting with Flipsnack and Google Drive. Each integration meant working through a partner's authentication requirements and extending Marq's large backend and public API. Without Claude Code, the work was estimated at 3.5 months, including developer onboarding and learning Marq's business context.

The Solution

Ravn engineers embedded in Marq's teams built both integrations in Claude Code. They used it to generate syntax, read each partner's auth documentation, map the relevant parts of Marq's codebase, and write the implementation and tests. The result is a JWT-based pattern with a well-known discovery endpoint, so each partner reads Marq's configuration with minimal per-partner setup. Actual production delivery with Claude Code took 57% less time and the outcome was more robust and streamlined than the originally planned unique integrations as the path for future integrations was paved, reducing effort for new partner onboarding.

The Outcome

Without Claude Code (estimate) → with Claude Code (actual) Engineering effort for both integrations: an estimated 14 engineer-weeks without Claude Code → 6 engineer-weeks actual. Calendar time for both integrations, including onboarding and learning Marq's business context: an estimated 3.5 months → 1.5 months. Adoption and scale Two self-serve publish integrations in production in 2026 The pattern is built for reuse, so new partner integrations will be added with less effort.

"Ravn's expertise in Claude agentic workflows and API's has proven invaluable for our team. They've really helped us take a leap forward in our AI transformation efforts and accomplish meaningful work along the way."
Brad Traylor, VP of Product & Technology

Tech & Cloud

Claude Code, used by Ravn engineers embedded in Marq's engineering teams for research on partner authentication requirements, implementation and tests in Marq's Scala/Play backend and public API. The team used Claude Sonnet and Claude Opus, choosing the newest model on Marq's plan at the time. Flipsnack and Google Drive went live in production in 2026.
